Some exercises used in VRT include:

  • Eye movements
  • Head movements
  • Changing from sitting to standing
  • Throwing a ball

  • Stooping, stretching, and aiming

VRT is typically done in six to eight weekly sessions, followed by ongoing treatment where patients do exercises on their own. You should not try these exercises without first seeing a specialist or physiotherapist.

Some other things that can help with vestibular disorders include:

  • Avoiding foods and beverages high in salt or sugar
  • Eating a diet high in fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
